Decorating the Christmas Tree

When I was a little girl, my mom would buy my sister and I a new ornament every year and we'd put our name on the back and the year we got it and add it to our collection. I now have a box full of ornaments that my mom puts up on her Christmas tree every year. My goal for Riley was to do the same thing so that when she gets older, she too would have a box full of ornaments that I would put up on my tree and later give to her to put on her own.

This year, Ruben, Riley and I put all our ornaments up on the tree at our house together. I don't think Riley quite understood what we were doing or why we were doing it but she did however like looking at the ornaments she had.
