7 Months Old

Another month, came and gone! And even though it was such a short time, Riley has grown so much!

*Appetite* Riley has now moved on to the 2nd stage of her Gerber foods. I think I may have been more excited for this than Riley because there are all these cool, new fruits and vegetables combinations that I was really excited for her to try! Some examples being macaroni and cheese with mixed vegetables, chicken and rice, banana raspberry oatmeal, vanilla custard pudding with bananas...just to name a few. She now eats her solid foods 3 times a day; for breakfast, lunch and dinner! We've also tried to give her some baby snacks like the star shaped puffs or yogurt melts. She hasn't really gained a liking for them though because when we try and give her

one, she makes a weird face and tries to spit it out. She is also drinking juice once a day! So far, she's only tried apple. And it took a few times for her to enjoy drinking it.

*Play Time* Lately, Riley has been getting bored of her "baby" toys. She wants all the things she can't have; our cell phones, the remote control, paper, the laptop, especially! We have to rotate her toys every so often so that she can keep herself entertained. She's still trying to put just about everything in her mouth and still enjoys watching her Baby Einstein DVDs. Her favorite now, Baby Da Vinci.

*Talking* Still babbling, of course. But Riley has learned more letters to put in front of her "a" sounds. Now she says baba, dada, wawa, and some others.

Riley hasn't reached any milestones this month, but we're hoping by 8 months she'll be on the road to crawling! And also, hoping she has some teeth!
