Paige's 21st Birthday!

The day came and went as I left my younger years behind and started my 21st year of life! This is the day that everyone waits for... the day you can finally drink legally, gamble in Vegas, make it into the more exciting clubs. But of course, with being a mom, those things didn't matter as much to me anymore. I was excited that I was finally "legal" but knew that I wouldn't go crazy like most people would.

On February 11th, I had a birthday party at La Mirage Night Club in Artesia (aka WORK!) with mostly family and a few friends. Since family is the most important to me, they were the only ones I really cared about sharing such a special milestone with. And also, because my family parties harder than any I've ever seen! I always have fun when I'm with them. At midnight I could officially drink and took my first legal shots and had a few drinks. My whole family had a blast and they all want to go back and do it again! Ha ha ha!

Here are a few pictures from the La Mirage photographer + my birthday flyer:

The weekend after my birthday, 17th-19th, I went to VEGAS! Of course, a 21st birthday must! Carissa (my best friend) and I flew out that Friday afternoon and arrived at our hotel (The Rio) around 2pm. We were able to check in right away, took our stuff to our room and went back downstairs for lunch and my first Vegas drink! After we went upstairs and took a nap/waited for my grandparents to drive in. My grandma never misses an opportunity to go to Vegas! :) We had dinner with them that night at an Italian restaurant at the Rio and went out just us two to Marquee after. Marquee has to be, by far, my favorite club so far! They even gave out sandals at the end of the night... amaaaazing! The next morning Ruben, Christina and JC drove in and got to the hotel around noon. By that time, I was ready to gamble! Ruben and I went down and I watched him play poker for a while. Then we went to the roulette table and then the craps table. I was having fun and winning money at the roulette table, until I decided to switch to craps with Ruben. Good thing my grandma gave me some birthday gambling money! That night (Saturday) we went out to PURE at Caesar's Palace and then to Surrender at the Wynn. There we found MORE craps tables! I still had fun watching Ruben play, but didn't care for all the house music. I guess I'm more of a hip hop girl? We ended up going to sleep around 4am that night and waking up at 8am to pack up and head back home! I was so tired but extremely anxious to get back to my baby girl! I missed her the entire time, and felt a little guilty leaving her for so long. It was also her first time at Gigi's house alone, no mommy or daddy! She, however, must've been mad at me because she missed Ruben more :(

A successful 21st birthday, to say the least. Thank you to everyone who was there to help me celebrate it! I wish it could be that way every year!

Side note: for some reason, I didn't take many pictures while we were in Vegas? Hmm.. coincidence?
