People say that babies can start teething as early as 3 months of age--we were lucky enough to not be put through that until now...
Recently, I've noticed that Riley has been very irritable. Not wanting to sit up and play with her toys, having trouble going to sleep/taking a nap, whining for reasons that I can't seem to understand. I didn't actually know that she was in fact teething until I sat with her one day and watched her play. She would grab anything that was close to her, shove it in her mouth and chew on it aggressively--sometimes, that included her own fingers!
Luckily, I located all her teether toys that were purchased earlier (some even before she was born!) and let her play with them. She seemed to be fond of some, more than others--one of them including her Razberry Pacifier that I bought for her at Toys R Us. That one is, so far, her favorite and is also the easiest for her to hold and chew on.

I also got a few "teething remedies" from my trusted baby website (babycenter.com) that I thought would be helpful during this time. A few of them including a cold washcloth (easy to hold and chew on) and frozen fruits to put in a mesh feeder bag (recently purchased at Babies R Us). These were the ones that I liked the most and thought Riley would like, also. And of course there's always Baby Orajel...I like to use that as a last resort though.
It will definitely be an interesting time and experience going through Riley's teething stage. But we're excited to see her baby teeth!
Growing up so fast... :(
